Ugh, I know it's stupid, but I have to parse why.

I honestly never want to talk about this nonsense, just keep it walking. If it don't apply, let if fly, but this just feels like such a weird big bowl of wrong, that I have to parse it.

Fox Host Says Men Who Vote For Women ‘Transition’ to Women (Rolling Stone (Archive))

Pretty upsetting headline, if it were not so absurd. My question is would people fall for that, is their masculinity so threatened by a infotainment pundit of the far right referencing a scientist, who claims voting for a woman makes you transition to a woman.

First off, what scientist? I doubt it. Science tells you to take vaccines and humans are effecting climate change, but that's against the far right wing agenda.

Second, I thought the far right didn't believe in transgender experience, but I guess they're trying to other people who will vote for Kamala Harris.

The whole strategy is foster hate, enjoy punching down and othering marginal populations.

My penis doesn't mean I can't see the advantage to voting for a woman who's character is miles ahead of the felonious rapist lying pedophine, who just wants to lower taxes on the rich and steal more money from the USA.

My penis doesn't disappear when I think about policy, and envision a federal government that works to ameliorate the rough edges of capitalism, redistribute wealth, do supportive policies that nurture the populace instead of the rough justice of the wild west republican policies.

My penis doesn't disappear when I think about justice, growing the middle class, reversing the gilded age we are developing, the obscene concentration of wealth.

And all these so called religious people who imagine far right wing ideology is somehow spiritual, I see helping out others with left wing policies is spiritual. Liberation theology, and engaged Buddhism.

The division continues between those who imagine they are rich and those who know they aren't with a cruel society, but the division between female and male is the latest horrifying malignancy these monsters are perpetrating on America.

It's OK to not like taxes and wants smaller government and believe in minimalist government, have a conservative instinct. It's not OK to vote for murderous policies, encourage hate crimes, and develop a dysfunctional society that only benefits a few.

Jesse Watters is a monster. A cancer in society. Deplorable. The very definition of toxic masculinity.

Add that to the list of far right wing sins, adding in manipulating ideas of masculinity, to the idea of voting left wing, who just happens to be a woman.

Supposedly the alleged sexual harasser and former wrestler Tyrus shut down 3 women who protested the idiocy. More wrong.

Far right wing anti-socialness wants no consequences for harming others. The freedom to hurt or kill others.

They'll call it entertainment with a hint of pretending to be news. Fox news payed Dominion $787.5 million for their lies.

Trump's campaign is flailing and I don't think he ever wanted to win, I think he's just avoiding prosecution for his many crimes. Their only hope is to put out out lurid offensive zingers to get attention. He's going to lose a second time in a row, and it's not going to be close is everyone goes out and votes.

MTV used to play music but doesn’t now. Things change. The Christian nationalism is about creating out groups and dividing us. Men must vote for men or they turn into women according to Fox, which used to be about news but now classifies itself as entertainment so it doesn’t have to tell the truth, just conservative fantasies that feel true to them. Political ideology gloms onto an unrecognizable Christianity. They don’t particularly like democracy even, they’d be OK with fascism if it was right wing and accuse the left of wanting a dictatorship. Every accusation is a projection confession. They don’t have to have integrity or compassion, freedom is the freedom to kill by denying whatever doesn’t feel right, like vaccines and mask mandates, then they accuse others of being snowflakes. It’s relentless script flipping by populists preying on weakness and hatred.

Democracy or democrazy?

Admittedly the choice between corrupt democrats and corrupt republicans isn't the political choice I want. I'd rather vote my way towards fairness, elimination of poverty, anti-trust laws that fight the consolidation of corporations (you read about grocery stores lately?), education, infrastructure. What you do get is a vote for democrats that vote to end rail strikes ( source ) because they can't carve out of the profits a sick leave, versus reality denying, Russian bought, obstructionists who might lower taxes, and want smaller government. The Ron Swanson's of the world who hate government and work in government. I've been running into people who believe the corrupt choices aren't worth even making. Reasons not to pay attention.I've thought that a few times in my life, but I don't think that now.  There are real choices about health care for women, and even just an attitude towards democracy. It's hard to fight past the rhetoric, and understand eve

Consent

You couldn't have a better title to a memoir in these times. You can read about Humbert Humbert, and other male narratives, but the female narrative of the statutory rape is fulfilled by this book. I feel slightly ill while reading this book. What she goes through is off, and it's hard to put a finger on it besides  Hebephilia . All the collaborating details from her mother, to her doctors, to her father. Vanessa Springora will be remembered for other things, she is a director and a publisher. I'm not sure if  Gabriel Matzneff will be remembered for other things. At least not on this side of the pond. I do have a kind of jealousy for the appreciation of the intellectual life in France.  Matzneff cites Lewis Carroll , and others as having the appreciation for youth. I read his Wikipedia page. That led to other questions about photographers who take pictures of their children. That led me down a creepy path. As much as Springora tries to not make it sexy, I wonder how many
