Rewatching The Big Bang Theory after watching YS

According to TBBT (The Big Gang Theory), thinking about Young Sheldon:

Missy is a hostess at a Fuddruckers.

Mary still buys Sheldon his clothes.

Mary had Sheldon in a Costco???

George wrestled an alligator for some licorice?

Sheldon had a family dog?!

Sheldon joked about the house being on cinder blocks, but that's not true.

Episode 1:15 has Missy of the future in it, but there's not a lot of continuity questions. She does say she put a dog down because it sounded like Koothrappali, but that sounds like a joke.

Sheldon's mother visit when he's rude to the chair and gets fired. And again later.

Sheldon goes back to Texas and goes back home quickly.

4:14 Sheldon writes a play where Mary tells George to put down a pepsi can with bourbon in it, and the whole show he just drinks beer. In 4:20 he says archery video game gives him memories of his father teaching him archery and the smell of bourbon.

It's in 4:20 that he says when his parents break up his mother dives more into religion and his father's bottle blond girlfriend tries to buy his love with action figures.

It's weird the actor who plays the father in Young Sheldon, plays a bully to Leonard in TBBT. Reminds me of how Frankie is the IT lady before she is assistant dean in Community.

7:4 "Every time my mother was mad she put hamster poop in my dad's chew tobacco."

Billy Sparks put a peso up Sheldon's nose when he was 7, and he trips off the airport alarms still (5:12).

Sheldon goes to his sister's childbirth. Yikes. He tries to make it all about him.

9:14 is the Memaw episode, a dowdy old lady not at all like Annie Potts.

You know this is a rube's game, entertainment isn't consistent, there will be continuity errors.

There's a fair amount of interesting details that they carried over to Young Sheldon. One example is (6:13) when Sheldon says he got pink eye from sharing his sister's makeup for a costume.

Off topic, but Ricardo Shilly-Shally and Tondelaya della Ventimiglia have to be written about in fanfiction, and I'm going to have to fill the void if it's empty. Best I could find in a short cursory search was this pornography.

Democracy or democrazy?

Admittedly the choice between corrupt democrats and corrupt republicans isn't the political choice I want. I'd rather vote my way towards fairness, elimination of poverty, anti-trust laws that fight the consolidation of corporations (you read about grocery stores lately?), education, infrastructure. What you do get is a vote for democrats that vote to end rail strikes ( source ) because they can't carve out of the profits a sick leave, versus reality denying, Russian bought, obstructionists who might lower taxes, and want smaller government. The Ron Swanson's of the world who hate government and work in government. I've been running into people who believe the corrupt choices aren't worth even making. Reasons not to pay attention.I've thought that a few times in my life, but I don't think that now.  There are real choices about health care for women, and even just an attitude towards democracy. It's hard to fight past the rhetoric, and understand eve...

Manet and Degas

Brilliant video explaining the exhibit. Go to the Met and see the exhibit! It's really quite special.  In the last gallery the painting this sketch is based off of, of the execution of a Mexican president. The painting has been cut into sections, and the surviving Degas has reassembled them. NY Times review
