Stringer facing 3 women alleging he was inappropriate, assaultive. Stringer, "who, along with some of his top supporters, has preached a zero-tolerance message in other instances of allegations against public officials..."
I had Stringer #4 on my list, I put the women up top. Who do I let onto the list? Adams or Yang? I could just have 4. I don't like Yang because he hasn't worked in government. Perhaps he could work in government and then run. And Adams, while leading an impressive life, brags about being a poor student and says he's going to out-white whites. Not sure what that means, but somehow I take umbrage. I have Donovan at #4 now, because he's worked in government and know about housing a big issue. I don't like any of the other candidates. McGuire is like Yang, never worked a lick in government and thinks he can just waltz into the top position. I guess putting Adams as #5, he blocks the unqualified Yang.
Honestly I won't be heartbroken if Yang wins. Universal income is a quite nice idea. Forget he fled NYC during the pandemic, how he abandoned the Knicks, couldn't impress the gays even when pandering to them, and many other wrong-footed schmoozing the public.
My ranked choice: Garcia, Morales, Wiley, Donovan, Adams.
Love this political doublespeak: "“Any woman who has experienced any misconduct or abuse must be allowed to safely and freely come forward to share their story,” Mr. [Representative Jerrold] Nadler said in a statement. “I have known Scott to be a man of enduring character and integrity. Scott has clearly stated that there is no basis to these allegations, and I continue to support his candidacy.”" Sorry bub, you gotta choose. Either women coming forward means something or it doesn't. I wouldn't abandon him as a friend, but I won't vote for him to be a leader. Those days are gone.
